My name is Katie Wendt and my goal as a counselor is to provide a warm, welcoming space where clients feel safe, understood and empowered to grow. I understand that starting the counseling process can feel overwhelming, but I am here to support you and walk with you on this journey. I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University, where I have received training in sandtray and play therapy. I have a passion for working with children navigating social, emotional and behavioral challenges as well as adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, social relationships and life transitions. My approach is rooted in Gestalt therapy, while also tailoring sessions to fit each client’s unique needs and goals.
