Hi, my name is Francisco Mendez, LPC.
I’m a native Houstonian and Mexican American therapist who works with adolescents, adults, and families. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
I was drawn to this work through a passion for supporting minority communities, including Spanish-speaking and LGBTQIA+ individuals. My goal is to create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves, exploring what’s getting in the way, and working toward meaningful change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. I draw from ACT, DBT, and CBT, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs and goals.
I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families across various clinical settings. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, family conflict, life transitions, and other mental health concerns.
