Mosadi Porter, LPC-Associate
Hello! I am Mosadi Porter. Through my many experiences in education, spiritual and social spaces, as well as my lived experience, I have been uniquely positioned to approach my time with you in an eclectic way. My current standing as a Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate (supervised by Danielle Bowman, LPC-S) has provided me the opportunity to work with EAP clients, families, couples, college students, and adults on a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to family dynamics, communication, pre-relationship/relationship circumstances, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADD.
I contributed to the field of higher education for over 25 years. During my personal educational career, I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and Master’s in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University, and a Doctorate in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston. After committing to never take a class again (cooking, sewing, or otherwise), I earned a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from Lamar University because of my deep belief in and dedication to the healing power of therapy and the importance of mental health and hygiene. Challenge and support is the approach I take, while being deeply empathetic and flexible in how we structure your journey. I can’t wait to work with you!
