Here to help you.

Kristen Trevino
Hi!
Hello! My name is Kristen Trevino, and I’m so glad you’re here! I am a fully Licensed Professional Counselor, and I am EMDR-trained, which allows me to support clients in processing trauma and moving toward meaningful healing in a safe and structured way.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University. I later completed my Master’s degree from Lamar University. My professional journey began in education as a classroom teacher, then transitioned into school counseling, where I discovered my passion for supporting emotional well-being and personal growth. This ultimately led me to pursue a career as a therapist.
A guiding principle in my work comes from a quote by Flip Flippen in Capturing Kids’ Hearts:
“If you have a child’s heart…you have a child’s mind.”
This philosophy continues to shape how I connect with clients of all ages. I believe that healing and growth begin with feeling truly seen, heard, and valued. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and build the tools they need to move forward.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual. Whether I am supporting a child through emotional or behavioral challenges or helping an adult process life transitions or past experiences, my goal is to foster resilience, confidence, and lasting change.
I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, whether it’s for yourself or your child. You don’t have to navigate that process alone. I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey toward growth and healing!
