Cynthia Alvarado Reyes, Counselor-in-Training

My name is Cynthia and I’m a bilingual (English & Spanish) counselor-in-training, currently pursuing my M.S. in Clinical Psychology. As a first-generation Latin American woman, my cultural background and lived experiences have deeply shaped my passion for mental health and led me to this meaningful work. I am passionate about mental health advocacy, especially within communities where stigma may still exist, and chose this field to aid individuals in feeling seen, heard, and supported as they move through life’s challenges.

My areas of interest include exploring how intergenerational patterns and cultural narratives impact our sense of self, well-being, and relationships. My approach is tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs, while creating a welcoming, collaborative, and culturally inclusive environment. I aim to support clients in navigating both the everyday experiences of life—stress, relationships, daily challenges—as well as deep, unresolved emotional obstacles that may surface. I look forward to working with children, adolescents, and young adults, but am open and eager to work with individuals from all walks of life as I continue learning and growing in my training.

I’m committed to building meaningful therapeutic alliances that follow each client’s goals and experiences, while empowering them to heal and grow at their own pace. Mental health deeply matters, and I’m honored to be part of your healing journey.
