I’m Christian King, a counselor-in-training at District Counseling and a graduate student in Walsh University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I utilize cognitive-behavioral and play-informed approaches while continuing my training toward becoming an LPC. I plan to obtain a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) certification after obtaining my professional license. I have always loved working with children and am blessed to be a dad of two amazing kids under the age of four. I am a Christian and happy to incorporate Christian-based values or practices for clients who request it, while fully respecting and supporting clients of all beliefs. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and judgement-free environment where individuals feel heard, encouraged, and empowered.
