Hi, my name is Ana Patricia Torres and I utilize a multi-model approach to counseling. Part of my eclectic style includes a combination of psychodynamic theory, cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), family systems theory, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, bio-psychosocial model, gestalt, existentialism, and more. This counseling style allows me to tailor my counseling approach to match an individual’s goals and needs. Art is a valuable tool used in many of my therapy sessions. I graduated from the University of Houston Downtown with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and I am currently working on my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Helping people is my passion and as a therapist I am able to walk alongside those seeking support in my care. I am currently a counselor in training and I look forward to this wonderful career path filled with blessings and opportunities. I currently offer appointments for both children ages 4 and up, as well as adults. I believe in the healing power of talk therapy and I take on a collaborative approach.
