Here to help you.

Susan Thompson

You deserve a space where you are fully seen and heard. If you are struggling with life transitions, identity shifts, or the heavy weight of trauma—including anxiety, depression, PTSD, or difficult relationships—you are in the right place. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental, and trauma-informed environment where you will feel seen, understood, and grounded. Together, we will explore tools to build confidence, clarity, and a deeper connection to yourself and the world around you, walking alongside you to honor your experiences and build resilience on your unique healing journey.

My approach is person-centered and blends evidence-based modalities with creative depth. I integrate tools like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness to help clients process experiences safely and access their inner strengths. To bring flexibility and profound healing, I also utilize creative and expressive interventions, including art-based approaches (informed by my doctoral studies) and nature-based techniques. At the heart of my work is the spirit of aloha—showing up with warmth, compassion, and presence. Growing up in Hawai‘i shaped my belief that mindfulness is rooted in our connection to the earth, which is why I often weave in eco-therapy and nature-based practices to help clients feel centered, grounded, and connected to the world around them.

I have extensive training in trauma-informed care. My foundational experience includes working with teens in high-intensity residential settings, supporting youth navigating severe behavioral and mental health challenges. Alongside this, I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, LGBTQ+ clients, and people navigating major life transitions and identity shifts. I am committed to supporting you in building clarity, resilience, and balance while honoring your unique identity and experiences.
