Kristen Trevino

Hi!

Hello! My name is Kristen Trevino, and I’m thrilled to be part of District Counseling where I work under the supervision of Francisco Ortiz, MS, LPC-S, NCC. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and after earning my Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts from Texas A&M University, I relocated to the Cypress area. My path in education evolved from teaching to becoming a professional school counselor and therapist, culminating in a Master’s degree from Lamar University.

A guiding principle in my career is a quote by Flip Flippen from Capturing Kids’ Hearts:

“If you have a child’s heart…you have a child’s mind.”

This idea, which I encountered early in my teaching career, has profoundly influenced my approach. I believe that individuals thrive when they feel truly heard and empowered. This passion for fostering connections and supporting others led me to transition fully into the helping profession as both a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor associate.

During my time as a school counselor, I saw significant growth and success among my students. I am excited to continue making a positive impact at The Treehouse Children’s Center and our Queenston location. I recognize that seeking therapy for yourself or your child can be a daunting process, but I am here to support you through every step. My goal is to help you or your child build resilience and navigate challenges effectively.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
