Here to help you.

Hello! I’m Frank Ortiz, the proud founder of District Counseling and your dedicated therapist. Inspired by the vibrant Cypress and Houston, Texas communities, I established District Counseling to meet the growing need for clinical mental health therapy in our area.
I provide counseling services for a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. As a bilingual counselor, I’m also pleased to offer my services in both English and Spanish.
With over four years of experience in counseling and psychotherapy, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best minds in the field. But more than anything, my desire to help others has always been at the heart of my work.
In our sessions, we’ll employ top-tier therapeutic approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). While ACT can seem complex, its ultimate goal is beautifully simple: to help you live a life filled with purpose, meaning, and driven by your values. For couples therapy, I incorporate the Gottman Method, a highly researched approach developed by Dr. John Gottman, renowned for its effectiveness in helping couples thrive.
No matter where you are in life’s journey – student, parent, spouse, young professional, or high-profile executive – I am here for you. I personally understand the courage it takes to seek help, having undergone counseling myself. I admire your bravery and your commitment to change.
Beyond my professional life, I’m a husband, a father, an advocate, and a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. I’m married to a wonderful school counselor (and yes, our arguments are as analytical as you might imagine!). Together, we enjoy spending time with our two delightful children, who keep us on our toes.
So, that’s a little about me. I eagerly look forward to the opportunity to meet you soon and join you on your journey towards healing and growth!
