Here to help you.

Accepting new clients at Copperfield office
Hello! I am Kristen Guillen, a graduate student at Texas Southern University, pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am currently interning at District Counseling (Copperfield location) under the supervision of Osman Galo.
My goal is to empower you and help you discover your strengths to get you where you want to be. I am here to learn and understand your story and create a safe space where you feel seen and heard. My approaches include mindfulness-based, cognitive behavioral, person-centered approach when it comes to healing.
I was born in Chicago, Illinois but was raised in Houston, Texas. I received two bachelor’s degrees from The University of Texas at Austin in Psychology and in Film. Along with my internship, I work as a registered behavior technician where I provide behavior therapy for children with Autism (ASD). I enjoy working with kids and adolescents on the spectrum, and understand the complexities that comes from that.
My hobbies include sewing, painting, playing tennis, and trying new cuisines. I love watching movies, especially animated films like the Minions. My favorite foods to eat are Aloo gobi and tacos!
In our free consultation call, you can discuss your goals, and expectations on treatment with me. My goal is for you to feel comfortable in the therapeutic process.
