Wendy Payes
“In every person there is a sun. Just let them shine.”
~ Socrates
Hello, my name is Wendy Carolina Payes Hernandez, I am a proud mother of 5 (ages 10 – 30 years). I love to travel and enjoy going on mindful walks. Life has shown me that it is a long road where you are a teacher and a student. Sometimes you teach, but every day you learn. My thoughts at the beginning of each day define my motivation, and even when I find obstacles to solve, I remember that even the most difficult puzzle always has a solution.
My experience as a Bilingual Counselor in Training begins with my BS in Psychology with a minor in Human Services from Sam Houston State University, currently pursuing my M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. My experience in counseling services is geared towards helping people to bring their life into balance and find the motivations in their healing journey by incorporating an eclectic set of therapy skills such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into their lives to develop a stronger sense of self.
Let’s re-build your self-confidence, find your potential, strengths, healthy ways to enjoy life, your values, and your emotional stability.
