Ivory Smith

Ivory Smith is a proud United States Air Force veteran who is currently pursuing her academic goals at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. After serving her country with honor and dedication, Ivory has embarked on a new journey focused on higher education and personal growth.  

 

Transitioning from military service to civilian life, Ivory recognized the importance of continuing her education to further her career aspirations. Drawn to the academic excellence and supportive community of the University of St. Thomas, Ivory chose to pursue her studies in a field that aligns with her passion for helping others.  

 

As a student at the University of St. Thomas, Ivory is immersed in coursework that challenges her intellectually and expands her horizons. She is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, driven by a desire to positively impact individuals facing challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, and trauma. Her chosen counseling modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
