Hello!
I am Demica Jacquot, a Counselor-in-training at District Counseling, under the supervision of Cynthia L. Rojas, MA, LPC. I received my Bachelor’s degree at Stephen F. Austin State University, and I am currently pursing my Master’s in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University.
My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, respect, and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and positive change. Together, we will work to understand your unique experiences, identify your goals, and develop strategies to achieve them.
In our sessions, you can expect confidentiality, non-judgmental support, collaborative exploration, and empowerment. This may look like:
- Managing feelings associated with life struggles,
- Recognizing, understanding and changing self-defeating patterns,
- Healing past trauma and pain,
- Learning new ways to cope,
- Discovering and fostering inner strength, and much more.
I provide individual counseling, addressing a wide range of concerns, including:
- Anxiety and Stress management
- Depression
- Relationship issues
- Self-Esteem and Confidence
- Grief and Loss
- Life Transitions
- And more
Taking the first step toward counseling is a significant decision, and I’m here to support you throughout your journey. We all have meaning and a purpose with our lives despite the pain and struggle that we face. Therapy is to unlock and discover those problem areas that are holding us back and I am here to support you in achieving the changes that you desire.
