Carrie Devlin
Accepting new clients
Hello,
My name is Carrie Devlin. I am a counselor-in-training at District Counseling at Katy, under the supervision of Francisco Ortiz, LPC. I completed my Bachelor Degree from Sam Houston State University and currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University. In the fall of 2024, I will start my doctoral program to earn a degree in becoming a Clinical Psychologist, PsyD.
I have an innate devotion to serve others and seek to enrich lives through the therapeutic process. I am driven by my aspirations to work with children, families, and individuals to help unveil their full untapped potential. I am called to be of service through my community and have dedicated my time to developing relationships, teaching catechism, working with the youth, and volunteering with multiple committees at my church.
My approach looks at each client holistically; through the mind, body, and spirit. We each have been given unique talents to share with the world and I believe that a strong foundation is essential on our journey of self-discovery. My objective is to understand your God-given talents and perspectives that can only come from your personal story. I hope to partner with you in recognizing your challenges and help to identify the roadblocks preventing you from living and becoming the best version of yourself.
My story, like so many others, includes obstacles, distress, and heartbreak. In addition, there is joy, gratitude, and indescribable love. The challenges and difficulties are moments I now welcome because with each trial comes incredible growth and wisdom. I recognize the strength it takes to seek assistance in the midst of difficult seasons, and I would be blessed and honored to accompany you on your path toward acceptance and healing.
I look forward to working together and exploring your path to recovery!
